Jardin des Tuileries
You can’t find a more classically Parisian park than the Tuileries. Stretching from in front of the Louvre to the Place de la Concorde, this French formal garden has given Parisians a place to stroll since it was opened to the public more than 300 years ago. Today, when the weather is nice, you’ll find Parisians sitting around one of the ‘bassins,’ their feet up on the edge of the artificial ponds as they read, nap, or chat with a friend. There are also spots to enjoy a snack or a ‘chocolat chaud’ as well as a small art museum and an exhibition space.
