Parc Montsouris

On the border of the 13th and 14th Arrondissements, this hilly, English-style park offers a quieter, calmer side of Paris, along with panoramic views of the Panthéon and the observatory. Students often come here to eat crêpes, go for a jog, or picnic on the grassy field on sunny days. There are also playgrounds, pony rides, and puppet shows for little ones. I personally love the park for birdwatching: its artificial lake and waterfall are home to various species of swan, duck, and fowl.
