Père Lachaise

This eerie but beautiful cemetery is the final resting place of many famous French men and women such as Honoré de Balzac & Colette, as well as celebrated artists from around the world including Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison. The largest cemetery in Paris, you could spend hours walking the uneven, cobblestone pathways. Located on a hill atop the 20th arrondissement, it also offers a great view over the city, especially at sunset. Persons with reduced mobility can request an in-cemetery shuttle.
